Make it stop, I don't want a snorkel!
Make the rain stop. I can't even walk on the land without making a mess never mind taking a machine on but I have jobs to do. Miserable bleeding weather. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

I have a McConnell Robocut with a forestry head on hire at the moment and the ground is so greasy the damn thing just slips all over the place. Hindsight is great but I should have gone for spikes not tracks Big Cry The lad running the machine knocked a track off it on Saturday morning, dropped it in a hole Saturday afternoon and got it stuck at the bottom of a bank yesterday. I'm running out of friends with tractors Big Cry The 90 hadn't got enough traction to pull it out. A winch may be the way forward....

Time for a sun dance....

I've got loads of work to do on the land as well but daren't put a machine on it. Managed to get my hedges flailed a couple of weeks ago with very little damage but looks like that's it for a while. Lets hope this wind dries it up Whistle Defender 90XS SW

Work is backing up like I have never known before, usually we have a period of decent weather sometime!!!
Managed to finish baling the straw last week, and have not done any Autumn drilling yet.
I have mates who get in a panic because they haven't cut the lawn for a week.
Therapy over.

We are working in a village called Carters Clay... enough said!! I'm a landscaper so thoroughly p###ed off with this weather, we've filled in and built over a swimming pool, no regrets there, but my boots are so clogged up with mud/gravel/mudthat ive now got a problem with my heel..

So blooming annoying I know.
Although minor in comparison I've been doing some paining, and it's warm, cold, windy, raining high humidity you name it.
Oh and getting dark earlier too. Rolling Eyes

Seems to me like we've morphed from late summer directly into early winter. Big Cry KEEP CALM AND Drill ON

Wales 2007 Defender 90 Other CSW Trident Green
Spent the weekend in the Lake District never seen rain like it, on two occasions I had to pull over as I could not see to drive. Funnily enough though the Defender did not leak, but by eck! stair rod rain is better than any car wash, I now have a really clean machine Thumbs Up . For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Being a sheep farm we're not that machine dependent not like arable but even so we would still be on the land for another month yet if it weren't so wet. I am however certain that the metrology experts are just guessing. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Yep, got a trailer out the field with the tractor cleanly on Saturday then made the mistake of chancing a bit of tricky backing it onto a another patch but the damned thing was having none of it. Steve.

I tell you what lads, I noticed the nights sharp cut in quick as soon we hit august! Its now got to the point where me and my dad are leaving jobs for Saturday and sunday due to the time we have left sadly after work, The nights are cutting right in to about 6:45! my mate said about coming around after work but I think he may have to give that the big E due to the light. On sunday he came around for 4 and got with the welding after sorting out a few things, the light sharp died! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

It has been OK in Essex.

They were drilling like the clappers where I was beating on Monday, and no Essex clay stuck to my boots at all. Even the maize was dry.

Drilling right next to me today too.

We are a small country but clearly experience very different weather.

Well we had to be brave and let the hedge flail man on. Hmm. Imagine the kaos a 150+ horse New Holland makes when you are trying to get it unstuck with a 50 horse Massey and a Cherokee. There are no pictures as I really wasn't in the mood. Got him out eventually. Not his fault as he was only doing what we wanted. But still frustrating, 2 forward, 3 back. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
