Wales 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey
Recommend Mechanic/Garage - South Wales
Need my leaking crankshaft main seal replaced. While gearbox is off I have an Ashcroft input shaft to be fitted and a new clutch. Also want a few other things done (clutch slave cylinder, handbrake check for oil incursion, front and rear output flange oil seals)

Anyone got any recommendations around South Wales (Newport, Cardiff, Caerphilly kind of areas) ?

I am aware of LR specialists Promec in Cardiff and HBH in Caerphilly. Any experience with these? Any others worth considering?

Would far rather go somewhere on recommendation

HBH used to be my go to but they are to expensive these days.

I used Promec as above and found them really good Thumbs Up speak to Morgan and say you know big bearded shotgun dude with a black 110!! 2023 Defender L663 V8

Ended up going with Promec and was extremely pleased with their service, knowledge and general interest. Will be returning for certain! (Just hopefully not too soon!)
