Knocking noise from NS rear when cornering on 2008 puma

Hello,

I recently bought a 2008 2.4 puma defender.

When I corner I can hear a knocking sound from the passenger side rear. If I go round a left hand corner I hear it then again when I go round the next right hand.

When the wheel is on the ground and i shake the wheel I can hear something knocking, almost like the wheel is a bit loose but when I jack it up it is all solid and no sound. I have checked the a frame and there is no play, nothing in the shocks or radius arm either.

Can anyone shed any light on the problem? Only thing I can think is the previous owner changed the rear brakes so could the bearing nut not be tight enough? But wouldn't I feel it when the wheel is jacked up off the floor?
