The lips between the side panels and the roof would probably be strong enough to handle a hammock.
You'd need to bypass the trim but that's easily removable / modifiable. Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |

I'd want to get the mounting at close to a corner as possible for extra strength. Then again light of foot I am not.
Possibly seat belt bracket to rear door top hinge (open door, attach rope close door). |

I've also been wondering about how to string up a hammock...in a 90...!
Would this be at all possible? I'm 6ft tall, so the hammock would somehow need to be strung from the back door to the windscreen, and probably diagonally. Are there any fixings which would be up to the job? I'm fairly slim, so not a complete dead weight, but I don't fancy coming crashing down across the bulkhead or on top of the gear stick! Presumably the sun visor or rear view mirror wouldn't be up to the job... ![]() |

If it's a van body you should be able hook on the lip at the rear and trap the other end on the front door, but I don't know how low it would hang in a 90.
I've not had chance yet to look properly in the 110, but when I quickly threw mine down in the 110 it was to long to mount from the B pillar ![]() 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

Oh and the 5 year old managed to pull the rear view mirror arm off last week, whilst trying to refit the mirror the two year old had just pulled off, so I think that answers that one
