What I think is a new video from SA, with a detailed look at the underneath.

(Apologies if this has already been posted and I've missed it).

Some of the "low hanging fruit" underneath is a cause for concern, but this is a prototype.

During the video the Ineos driver does say that they are having some issues with the t-box overheating, and I suspect that what you are seeing there is a prototype lash-up to monitor or address this. I doubt that it will look like that in production.

Other things I thought were interesting in the video is the statement that Alucab, OME, Frontrunner, and Melville & Moon are all on-board and several/all will be given prototype vehicles later this year to enable product development. Also that the suspension is designed from the start to be "liftable", and that mods won't affect the three-year unlimited mileage warranty, and finally the comment that hydrogen-fuelled IC engines will be under test next year.

The more I hear, the more I like! Thumbs Up

I wasn't sure whether that was a mis-talk or a change of direction? Did he speak of fuel cells but no electric? That doesn't sound right.

One of the video-making punters asked the same thing, hydrogen IC or hydrogen fuel cell, and the Ineos driver said unequivocally that it was IC not fuel-cell, and that hydrogen IC would come before an electric version (I imagine that hydrogen IC requires far less development and fewer changes than electric power in any form).

It doesn't rule out the possibility that the Ineos driver was speaking though his tailpipe, but he appeared to know what he was talking about.

My understanding is that hydrogen IC is very difficult to get through emissions regulations due to NOx. Not a problem for JCB as rules are laxer for off-highway plant, but be interesting to see if Ineos can crack that problem. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I've listened several times and still can't quite make it all out clearly. Confused

The driver seems to say hydrogen not electric first, but talks of hydrogen engines and Hyundai. The captions really don't help:

Are you sure you heard hydrogen IC mentioned?

Article by the man himself, and he says "We will have a hydrogen Ineos Grenadier car on test next year (alongside an electric version)."

I'm guessing nobody told the copywriter...

Does anyone know the range of the Petrol and the Diesel engines and does the Diesel come with this silly AdBlue nonsense?

Would assume that pretty much 100% of latest diesels require AdBlue to conform with emission requirements ??
