Looks like good product for slowing down a door taker, though I would have thought a thief could use some form of tool to undo the bolt screw on cap. Look good but as the bulkhead bolts just have the three pinned cap a pair of needle nose pliers should get the cap off easily. I'm still waiting on the gore 110 kit before I make my mind up. Luckily my current doors are a bit knackered so I'm going to buy security hinges before I get new doors and if they get nicked in the mean time the insurance company can buy me new ones

Smack tight fitting ball bearings in the recesses... cost = zilch.

Yeah, I still take all the usual precautions but if it did happen it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world

You tap bearings into the head of the bolts.
A pig of a job to get out. Alternatively fill with metal putty |

The Farmer next door to us got his doors and bonnet and a few other bits nicked off his ninety.
Went through on the insurance. £8k worth with parts, labour, repainting etc etc !! |

Well you'd have to buy the bearings, but i agree a lot cheaper than hinges.
I suppose it depends what the caps are made from. I would hope they're metal and they could be locktited in, should be easy to break the bond with the proper tool, but needle nose or circlip pliers would probably bend or slip out. It also says there are security screws behind the caps. So the thief would need to remove the caps in order to be able to see what tool he needs for the screws beneath them. Rather than just do a walk by recce and come back with the proper tool later on. |

Looks like a pretty good effort by TMD to me. Expensive mind.
As for ball bearings, 5mm diameter are what you want for a good interference fit. |
