Cheers Jeff, with vat and delivery they are wanting £15 for one, I've only snapped one lug off and was hoping someone had one lying around before I bought one.

Appreciate that, just bought one from Totalparts costing 7.96 plus VAT PLUS 3.50 for delivery by second class royal mail which I thought was a bit steep for this very small, light piece of metal.

If you do not have the correct pliers to fit it there are some good tips out there, especially for aftermarket steering wheels, I forced the snap ring over sockets one after the other increasing in size until it just slid onto the rim o the boss. Just got to get everything, logs etc. at 6 and 12 o'clock positions Jeff

Notwithstanding the fact that online shops generally can't work out that little light stuff costs a bit less to post, they have to start somewhere with postage rates. They have fixed costs associated with ordering in, storing, picking and packing parts for orders which all comes under the P&P charge.

The part is an LR supplied part which you can pick up from any LR dealer parts dept (ring and order it first). Ask nicely and you'd probably get a discount too.

So cheaper and no postage Smile  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

PS: if the packaged size of the part is greater than 25mm in each dimension then it would be posted as a small parcel, Royal Mail price is £2.90 2nd Class.

I can't imagine many orders fall under 25mm thick when packaged so it's probably not worth the hassle/overhead to set up the shop system and product data to work this out and charge the cheaper large letter rate for these orders.

Don't blame the supplier for RM postal rates.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Thanks Jeff for the fitting advice and Martin for the postage tips, I'll look to LR as that seems the easiest option Thumbs Up
