2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
road trip
just back from a road trip, Geneva to Bath, back to Geneva, defender ran perfectly, cruising at 120-130k's on the French autoroutes... the puma really has legs for long journeys, what a difference 6th makes. Did not record the mileage or calc the fuel but for a defender, comfy, warm and plesant trip. Going back to the UK on Thursday and my migration back to the UK will be complete.

Only one thing I noticed, the passenger door seems to have moved slightly, I don't think it was the journey but I don't remember it before the trip... going into the dealers on Wednesday for it's first service so will have the door adjusted at the same time.

sounds like a really good trip.
how did you find the noise at that speed for so long. was it wearing and could you hold a conversation with the passengers? BM52

I took my SVX on a trip to Paris and back between Xmas and new year-1100 miles in total.I went with my partner and 4 year old daughter and the SVX behaved faultlessly but our cruising speed was 70mph so the journey seemed to take a long time, perfectly comfortable for all of us though.
One thing I will say is my mpg dropped to 22mpg from around the 28mpg I get from my usual 'around town' usage. 2009 SVX 90 Station Wagon
