Heritage insurance

I had a call from Heritage a couple of days ago to see if I wanted to renew, which I didn't as I have no Defender due to it being stolen and written off.
I got another call today from a very helpful chap who informs me that Heritage and KGM (the actual company) will no longer insure modified Defenders or Defenders that are going to be used off road or green laned unless they are kept in a secure garage between 10pm and 6am. He recons this will probably go for most companies due to the high level of thefts.
This may impact on me getting another.

Insurance companies, any old excuse to make life easier for them. Next it will be Defenders that are used solely on road. I have noticed over the last few years many insurance policies for Defenders are saying the same thing about being garaged and also a Tracker must be fitted.

I am sure Mercedes and BMW drivers whose vehicles are also in the high risk of theft group are not being penalised in this way. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
