Poole / Sandbanks

Off to Sandbanks in due course for a few days in a hotel. Any locals got recommendations of where to go / what to do? It is my dad's 70th celebration, so nothing too wild

Can't decide whether to blat down in the A4, or trundle in the 110.

trip in chain ferry to studland now your in Purbeck, swanage railway, Army firing range good drive, tank museum, Square & compass inn,(Worth Matravers) pastes , cider, beer ( will say cash only )

Trip over to Brownsea Island. Ferry over to Studland / shell bay / Old Harry Rock. Continue on after to Corfe Castle. Bournemouth airshow if that ties in with same dates? And a nice walk around New Forest - Lyndhurst to see the Ferrari garage. Bring the Defender - rude not to!

Look out for my 90 Heritage, now living down Panorama Road.

I've only seen one Heritage on the public road since they came out. Must all be squirrelled away in collections. The new owner did say he intended to use it.

Thanks for that chaps. I'm leaning towards taking the Heritage, we're not in a hurry.

Back from a few days in Sandbanks - a pootle around Brownsea in the boat, a bit of windsurfing, the odd run around the bay, all very pleasant. There were too many throttle blipping a holes in Ferraris in Sandbanks for my liking, but a short hop on the ferry to Studland got away from all that!
