Hello Stacey007
What's not to like... What's the plan in Scotland... Stopping at the Lakes for us (heading up from Berkshire) splits the journey to The Highlands roughly in half, we are currently planning a trip in September, (the Quiet Site is on our shortlist, as we haven't stayed there before). We hope to have 2 weeks + in Scotland to explore the NC500, is any of this in your plans... Good Luck and enjoy your trip... http://www.northcoast500.com/ SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

Looks a great trip! Scotland sounds fun too.
I once had to drive from Suffolk to the Blair HT in a horse lorry limited at 56mph, that was a long journey But stunning scenery there! You might need the Defender!! Where about's you staying in Fort William? We camped on Loch Linnhe last year http://www.linnhe-lochside-holidays.co.uk/
The Grog and Gruel in the high street in FW does nice grub. We are back there in November to see friends who now live up that way (but we are not camping) 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Hello
in Fort William we are staying here Glen Nevis Caravan & Camping Park, Glen Nevis, Fort William http://www.glen-nevis.co.uk/campsite/ From what I can see in this area it would be hard to pick a bad site? I think the fact it had an award winning restaurant and bar on site helped |

I can recommend the Glen Nevis site - we're staying there now and it's really well set out with a range of options, including tents, caravans, camper vans through to luxury lodges. Midges haven't been too bad either, but we're in a lodge and so retreat inside before it's too bad!
Drove up in the 110 from the Dark Peak with no problems; had a week in a timeshare at Cameron House on Loch Lomond and then a week at Fort William. Great place to visit, as always. |

That sounds like a fantastic irtinerary, we stayed at Stag Cottage Loch Linnie couple of years back, one of the best experiences.
