I upgraded so to speak from 235/85 KM2 to 255/85 KM2 following advice from Blackwolf.
The 235's done very well, I would not complain at all. However, they were prone to a little more shoulder wear on the front, a slightly poorer ride. And cut into the ground a bit more, sometimes an advantage but could possibly cause you more problems. The 255 is a nicer ride, wider track and looks even nicer. Bit of a pain to adjust the lock stops but not too bad. Tiny draw back is a bit more noise but made up for in ride quality. So I'd give the 235's a 8/10 and the 255's 9/10. GG TR's I'd rate at about 4/10. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

I might not get KM2 yet, a few of my american friends have said really good things about the Toyo Open Country MT 255/85 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

I went with KM2 because I got a killer deal for the 6 units.
Otherwise would probably opt for the Toyos. They're tougher and people say they're better offroad at speed. They're also true 33,5" tall. On the down side, they are 2 or 3kg heavier and the stiffer construction and load rating means a rougher ride and less tyre bulge if you ride light |

Here's one of mine with the 255/85 KM2s followed by the 285/16 KO2s on the same wheels (16x8 ET0).
Bottom picture is the old truck with 305/70/16 KMs on 16x8 ET0 for comparison Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

I suspect that's the cost of low volume production. I can't imagine they're going to sell many when compared to the standard wheels, or even to Wolfs. Darren

I changed from Kumho 285/75 to KM2 285/75 then to KM2 255/85. Of these the 255s have the best ride, road manners, and performance off-road in my opinion. Also they don't plaster your truck in crud like the 285s tend to. I wish BFG would make the KO2 in a 255/85 x 16 size, I would love to try a set. |
