Disklok & Steering Wheel Cover

Hi All

I'm a regular poster on the disco3.co.uk forum where there's been a lot of talk of vehicle security recently.

I therefore contacted Disklok and, with Martin's permission, can extend a group buy offer to defender2.net forum members on the Disklok (http://www.disklokuk.co.uk/shop/disklok/) and Disklok Steering Wheel Cover (http://www.disklokuk.co.uk/shop/steering-wheel-cover-for-disklok/).

The RRP for the Disklok is ï¿½124.99 but, with a minimum of 5 orders from the forum, they will offer it at ï¿½85.20. The optional Steering Wheel Cover group buy offer is ï¿½2.82 (RRP ï¿½4.99).

The Group Buy signup is for the Medium (39cm - 41.5cm dia.) and they are available in either Silver or Yellow. The Steering Wheel Cover is one size. Remember to check your steering wheel's diameter before signing up.

If you want further information or a different size Disklok, please leave a post below, but they are currently out of stock of the Large, with new stock arriving early November apparently.

Once you have signed up, please PM me your preferred delivery address so I can liaise with bigdave (forum member). Delivery is ï¿½15.00 per Disklok & Cover via UPS to all addresses in Mainland UK (exc. Highlands, Islands and parts of Cumbria). Deliveries take place Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:00.

My Issue would be where do you put it when you take it off?

I jump in my car, remove a 'fortress' bar from the steering wheel and it then clicks down the side of the seat where I have fitted maglite clips to keep it in place.

Leaving this in the passenger footwell or back seat isn't great if you need to sharply brake. Then jumping back out to attach it in the boot is a pain..

Great price though and thanks for offering / sorting as I am tempted it just where it goes

As of this morning, I can also offer the storage case for £4.62 (RRP £9.99).

I think Stacey means storing it as in to stop it flying around in an accident and "braining" you

I've fitted a detachable steering wheel and so don't really need one but this does seem a good deal and would otherwise have bought one.

On a puma, the disklock fits neatly under the wider half of the second row seat bases and can be secured with a bungy. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Hi All

Not being a Defender driver myself, I wonder if perhaps the size of the Disklok originally offered (a medium) didn't work for some of you??? The small Disklok fits steering wheel dimensions from 35 â€“ 38.9cm.

The price of the small is Â£64+VAT (Â£76.80) and delivery is the same at Â£15.00. The Disklok cover/bag and steering wheel cover from my original GB will still fit.

I already have someone wanting two from Disco3, so I'll update this GB for three small Diskloks in yellow.

If you search you will find several threads where people are discussing whether medium or large is the best/correct size for a Defender. Without opening that debate again.. I have large and it seems fine. Others are happy with medium.

I am not sure that there will be many takers for a small? No harm trying though, obviously

(Like I said before, it is a good price but I think everybody who wants one has already got one. The number of new owners is probably starting to diminish now?)
