The Swann system from Screwfix is pretty good for the price IMO. I started with nothing and still have most of it left! |

From experience that is if what is in the box is as described on the front of the box. And the life expectancy and quality of their kit is questionable at times. It is generaly out of date in terms of technology. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

If you check out the Q&A section you will see that swann themselves have answered this very question.
I added 2 cameras and they came with everything including power cables and plug: http://www.screwfix.com/p/swann-swpro-h855...tid=475776 |

Good system. Even my mate who installs CCTV said you can't go wrong with it. £360 from Maplin too. 1951 80" S1 2.0

Maplins sell additional cameras and cables. The cameras come as a pair with their own power supply and splitter for two/four cameras. Screwfix I found were the most competitive on price for the initial kit but they dont carry any accessories whick Maplins do. It is all incredibly easy to set up, the dvr comes with pre installed software which connects seamlessly to the home wifi. Merely download Swann's app to your mobile phone or tablet for remote access of both real time and recorded video. This was my first experience of cctv installation and found it pretty easy. The Swann system was recommended to me by a local independant installer for being a value for money set-up. I started with nothing and still have most of it left! |

What about wireless systems?
I want to install some cameras to the interior and exterior of an outbuilding which is situated a short way from the house. While I have 240v out there I would ideally like a wireless system to avoid having to lay cables back to the house. Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
