I have a 2006 90 td5 and upon replacing the wiper system (full dash out and in) Tested wipers and now workling fine.
However, on trying to start her the engine management light and coil lights are not shown on the warning panel..... Turns over but wont fire up. Put new batteries in both fobs, Key fobs lock/unlock doors ok. Speedo Red immobiliser light is off. Checked main fuse panel and all fuses OK Is it possible the regular switching on-off when testing wipers has confused the immobiliser? Any ideas welcome folks Regards John 2006 TD5 2002 Honda Transalp 650 1995 Yamaha Vmax 1200 2014 Nissan Juke (wifes) |

Finally some progress....
Amber warning lights now back on panel and temp gauge cold, fuel pump running. Fired up and started first time as is normally the case. Still no red light on speedo however... I checked and re-seated the connections on the relays (only 3 there - was expecting 4 ???) as no A/C fitted. The yellow ones are ford relays -is that normal... one seemed to have slight signs of possible overheating so I intend to replace at least one of them. Fuses looked fine and all connections nice and clean. The earth point - if it is the mounting bolts for the ECU I will remove and clean them tomorrow Any thoughts about absent red alarm light??? Cheers Dorset,
Still starting OK but the speedo/alarm red light still off. Will seek out replacement relay as one was definitely showing light signs of overheating. 2006 TD5 2002 Honda Transalp 650 1995 Yamaha Vmax 1200 2014 Nissan Juke (wifes) |
