I use Ultimate Snow Foam then power wash off.
I then hand wash with a good shampoo, can't remember the name at the moment, hand dry and then use Autoglym H.D. wax applied by hand to finish. I keep away from using "polish" as much as possible as it's abrasive. |

What is the paint like now, and is the vehicle garaged. These two points will have a bearing on what you do.
Like I've said before on this issue, don't go too complicated. A good wash followed by a good polish, can do wonders, depending on your answers to the two questions. Pickles. |

Hi Bear,
The paint seems really good, looks like it's been very well cared for or it's had a recent correction! No swirls or scratches etc. It's still clean as a whistle after a week 600 miles and a touch of rain also. Just wanted to get all the right gear before washing this weekend really to prevent causing damage, I used to be up to speed with all this detailing lark then I've been out of it while. Car is not garaged unfortunately. |

Nice one, Laurie
![]() I believe, by the look of some Defenders round my way, you are not unique in your cleaning product of choice. |

A bit like Laurie, a pretty hard, but artificial, rainshower now and then.

Mud. Much more advanced product than rain as it adds an extra layer of protection. Ed
