110 Station Wagon seat question
I have bought a 1988 110 station wagon to which someone has fitted Discovery seats front and back. While very comfy I am not happy with the fitment of the rears, there is no way to lock up the back rest for example and so I have enough safety concerns to make me want to refit the original style of seat. I have bought a 110 second row seat, split 60/40 but it has no fittings with it. Can anyone tell me how the rear legs lock into place on the floor? Is there a bracket bolted to the floor of the vehicle or is it part of the floor? At the moment the floor is covered in board and carpet and I don't want to disturb it all unless I have to until I have all the parts to complete the job. If there is a bracket has it changed over the years?

My 1995 has had 60/40 seat from new. The rails under the seat are secured at the front direct to the floor. The back rails fold and are not secured to the floor. The seat backs have latches on the edges that fasten to brackets on the seat box. They hold the assembly fixed in place. 1995 Defender 110 CSW

That's great thanks. I saw a parked station wagon today and spoke to its owner who kindly let me photograph the catch that's mounted on the wheelarch and the brackets that mount the seat to the seatbox. Forgive me but I am unfamiliar with the drawings but can they give me the part numbers so I can obtain them?

Click mouse on number of part.

They do come up on ebay occasionally.

Or ask a breaker, you may need to buy seats aswell, but they can be moved on anyway at a later date.

I got mine at Newbury Autojumble. When I asked seller if all bits were there he replied quickly with a yes as he had personally undone every bolt himself the day before !!

Seems one of the brackets is obsolete!
