Just in the process of removing the rear bench seats from my 110 station wagon.
Have removed one side of belts on the bar which they are attached to, but just wondering if this bar has an additional purpose in providing extra rigidity and longitudinal strength. The side with the bar removed Click image to enlarge The side that still has the bar Click image to enlarge Maybe someone with an original utility can shed some light if they have a similar bar but obviously without the belts or any thoughts much appreciated. |

Lots of models don't have them and don't have anything else instead.
