Renting a Defender for self-drive tour
Hi everyone,

My wife and I are planning a trip to NZ next year March-April to attend a wedding in Auckland.

Since we're going halfway around the world, we thought we'd make a big trip out of this, and are looking at self-drive options for touring South Island.

I have seen a few options, but none with a Defender, can anyone here recommend/point me to a provider?

Ahhhh this is where it all begins, the hopes of an adventure in a Defender... FYI I ended up with a Toyota Yaris as the cost of renting a 4x4 was crazy expensive... Rolling Eyes Have never been overtaken more in my life, but the whole experience was fantastic in retrospect... Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Well worth doing

I only needed a 4x4 for a few days, so ended up with a Isusu and did a trip out with some of the locals on North island,
The rest of the 6/7 weeks were in the tradition motorhome !!

yikes, but the prices of 4x4 rentals are crazy, especially when you're converting on 10x forex rates Shocked --
