Looks like my (2012) battery is on the blink. Everything works but it struggles to turn the motor and then the battery alarm sounds...
What's the correct Ah rating for the battery? I have an original LR (CX23-10655-BA) 90Ah battery installed. All the online places call up a 70 Ah battery (??). Finally, is there a preferred brand, that won't put too much strain on my wallet? Thanks David Dave's not here man... |

I bought a 100amp one from a firm called Tayna a few weeks ago. Free next day delivery and v helpful on the phone - 01745 823399. I replaced the original 2008 one on the 110 with the higher capacity one. Very slightly bigger but fits in the under seat compartment nicely. At the risk of teaching you to suck eggs a look at the handbook on battery disconnection is worthwhile. One wife - livid

I ended up buying a 100Ah/900A unit, with 5 yr guarantee, from a local battery dealer for good price.
Followed the manual to the letter and there were no nasty surprises. Thanks all. Dave's not here man... |

It's only a battery , they don't last forever you know
Although my original one is still ok-ish its beginning to slow crank and set the immobiliser alarm off if sat for a few days without running . It's approach 5yrs so can't grumble . The replacement shown is exact dimensions and shape as original except at a significantly lower cost and seems to be of excellent quality . Keith |

It's also a higher capacity. I've got that Yuasa too. Notice on the base there are some removable plastic bits, if you lever them off with a screw driver, they fit better in the Defender's battery tray. |

I second that. Ctek charger work wonders with tired batteries. 1998 Tdi 90 SW, 2008 Td4 90 SW, 2012 2.2 90 SW, 2" raised Trailmaster/Terrafirma Heavy Track Raids, 255 MTīs, Recaro CSīs, anorak, wellingtons |
