Sorry, I don't see your point As LikeOMG says, the OP is about a 430hp V8 road biased conversion, so not even remotely standard. Darren

Any manufacturing decision is always a compromise between many operating parameters.
Yes 235 is the best compromise between road holding and off road use but that doesn't make it the be all and end all best tyre for every application 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

If BFG hadn't changed the pattern to the AT's, I'd quote their AT's all day long, period.
Though I feel the new style is a bit 'ugly' for an LS converted Defender. I'm a fan of sticking v8's in Defenders, though bigger than 16" wheels I see as a bit 'tacky'. HOWEVER.. I get that you need to fit bigger wheels to accomodate bigger brakes, so fair enough, but nothing like a 'Donk'. Looking forward to your build thread (unless you're 'cheque book building'!) and your decision on tyres! |
