2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Java Black

Turbo actuator / solenoid - faulty?

I am in the process of trying to work out why my 2.4 Puma 110 is not running as it should. It's down on power, giving me black smoke and is "hunting" around the 1500/1750 rpm mark.

Anyway I have asked a mate to see how much the actuator moves on his turbo compared to mine and it seems a lot more. Compare the two in the video.....

Does anyone have a 2.4 they can look at to see if theirs operates over a larger range? The turbo was a recon one which I fitted about 12 months/ 3000 miles ago. The linkage looks worn in the video but is ok
