Come on, tell the truth. You've only removed that lot so you can fit letter boxes at the top of the bulkhead.

Right, back off the bike, with tired legs!
Here's what goes on, there's no need for the air con grill...the condenser fits snugly between the rad and the intercooler. The compressor fits where it would be on a standard fitment, with the removal of one pulley and the addition of another.. The cooling fan fits in nicely behind the grille. The receiver drier assembly fits on the inner wing, picking up on existing holes, no drilling!! You can also see the compressor pipes, yet to be connected. The evaporator sits in the heater box....this is why the dash has to be stripped completely to get at it ! (WE ALSO FITTED HEATED WINDSCREEN AND MIRRORS whilst this was in bits and wired them to an o.e switch on a timer....) Then we gassed it up and set the temperature....you can see frost forming on one of the pipes, a cool 2.5 degree recorded....we set it a bit warmer eventually! One additional button..... Now sat awaiting a valet...and a happy customer! |

Very handy upgrade in this weather. Was thinking of it for mine, could you let me know what it would cost.

Something that I should mention, as some of you may not be aware of...it uses your existing 'vents'....so no unsightly and bulky extra vents, as you had in the aftermarket kits and standard 300 air con fitments.
OH YEAH, I WILL MENTION, WE ARE TALKING WITH MARTIN ABOUT SPONSORING THIS AND DISCO 3 FORUM ! The banner has been approved and we are excited to be a financially supporting part of the forum !!! |
