Makes me jealous (Even though I have only just been back from 5 weeks out there). Wish I was back out there again. Great pictures of the snow
Glyn p.s. Forget skiing and do the decent thing and get your daughter a snowboard |

There is nothing like winter in the Alps. I took my D3 to Switzerland for two weeks the first season I had it, the most memorable trip I have ever taken.
Just for Glyn, my rig is a Burton Custom board (2006 bought in Canada) and a set of P1 Carbon bindings........I gave myself a displaced sacrum due to a frozen camel back and a rock face.....which was nice |

Ouch!! had a guy do that this last trip.... back protector didn't do anything to help either. I am currently running 2 boards, -2007 Prior All mountain freestyle- nice and bendy and awesome on the rails/ boxes but stiff enough for on-piste fun -2010 Prior ATV- It is a Race board designed so that it can go in powder.... after riding this for 2 weeks carving turns were down to a tee.... could go twice as fast doing turns than other could do on flat line.
Typical W@nk on planks...... who wants to ride on-piste when there is powder, Border-cross and park? On one of my trips a random drunken guy in a bar summed up people on the slopes: 'There are 2 types of people on the slopes... Skiers who haven't been on powder.... and the others are snowboarders.' Back country, pow, SkierX and piste. My Rossis can do the required although I hold my hand up that they're not brilliant in powder if you lose speed. Take a bit of work to get going again
I leave the park to the kids My biggest buzz is without doubt the SkierX. The crosser park in Les Contamines is a scream. Choice of routes in (although I prefer the run from Aggy Cross, down the mogul field and then through the pipe) followed by an insanely fast, heavily banked cross course. Pure magic with an adrenaline hard-on for afters. I think I may have just done a little wee in anticipation of my next run out there 54 Freelander modded for mud 2008 D3 SE 2010 90 XS SW 1978 88 Series 3 undergoing surgery with a new owner 2007 90 County Truck Cab - gone 2006 D3 SE - gone 2004 Freelander Sport - gay 1999 Disco V8 ES rotted to bits |
