TUNING / ALIVE/BAS REMAPS
right peeps , ok im pretty useless with techy stuff and having looked at the bas/alive remaps the ones you control yourself with the box i need to know HOW easy is it ?
ok it looks easy but im pretty poor with a compuer, i use an imac , anyone else done it with one and how easy is it ?

my other question then is ive got a 4 month old puma and if i get it remaped by a tuner , i.e non switchable will the dealer know when it goes in for a service ?

Do a forum search and you will return a gazillion results on the subject, the questions you are asking have been asked many times. Your best bet is to do a search, spend a few day's reading up and come back with any questions that haven't been answered for you.

i dealer wont know in the first instance and wont bother checking it unless there is an issue engine warranty wise and they think it may have been mapped, they can then send the ecu away to be checked.

what they could do though is overwrite your upgrade and you cant get it back.

i would get a switchable one and reset it prior to going back to the dealers.

Some dealers do remaps anyway but just dont advertise them.

interface is very easy to use on a PC. Cheers

Plus if you're using a more recent imac, you can run the (Windows) software on Parallels or Bootcamp.
