Scotland 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Orkney Grey
I don't fancy doing away with the dpf both for environmental and legal reasons.

It is booked in next week at my local indy to take a look - they have replaced the flex joints on other cars but not a dpf defender yet.

It is difficult to make it run without the DPF, due to the ECM software.

Surely the ECM software can be updated to that in use for 2.2's in non-DPF, non-EU markets?

I don't believe so, but you'd have to talk to one of the tuning experts to be sure. I wouldn't be surprised if you had to change to ECM, and you WILL fail the MOT.

Replace for MOT, then back on the hoist and make with the spanners! Reprogram or replace ECU ! Rolling with laughter question I would posture amongst others is dependant on usage is what's the $ fuel saving? Thumbs Up
