We're going to Corsica in July but we'd heard that a lot of the tracks had been closed, it's nice so see your video proving otherwise. I started looking at Wikiloc a few weeks ago but haven't had time to research properly as i'm still trying to get the 110 finished, as soon as it's done i'll be back to the research now i know that there's tracks worth finding.

Great shots. Any chance you could share some of your routes? Would like to go and do Corsica next year.
Were you able to camp on the beach anywhere - that shot suggests a good stopping point!! |

There are very few places where you can wild camp on Corsica.Definately not on the beaches.
But the campsites are many, and very reasonably priced,in fact I was told Corsica was expensive though we did'nt find it so. The descent in the video is not for the faint hearted.About 1/2 mile long very steep,VERY washed out with many huge boulders to negotiate. It took us about 1hr to do it. Some routes are closed,or gated.Though we just opened the gates & went through. Marc |

We did Corsica in 2014, 10 days or so in total
Quite a few of the track we found were "closed" one in particular with a very big digger blocking the route, and not happy people when they arrived, so a hasty retreat was made !! Wild camping can be done, but its a late in, early out style, but as said, enough camp sites about, we had a split of about 50/50 North and central of the island is quieter that the south California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1 Main Brian James Trailer Dealer for South West UK |

If anyone is holidaying in Corsica in their Defender in July/August, would be great to meet up with other families with kids. We are taking our 110 and expedition trailer for big camping trip with our three boys 5 through 8.
PM or post here if you fancy meeting up for a lunch and Defender chat! ATB Simon My 10th Land Rover, but my first Defender. |
