TD5 running on after key is out the ignition

Hello all,

I am having a problem with my 2005 TD5 110. It doesn't turn off the engine when the key is out the ignition. however when i press the brake peddle, it turns off straight away. I have changed the ignition barrel and switch, Trailer lights terminal, checked and cleaned all ground wires. All of the bulbs in the brake lights are the correct bulbs.

Has anyone had a similar issue, of able to offer any advice?

Any help at all would be appreciated

Similar thing happened to my old 2002, was a bad earth. Caused the handbrake cable to be live, it would run without the keys handbrake on, but die as soon as you took the handbrake off.

Try fitting an additional battery earth.

I had this a couple of times, both occasions it was a rear light out... (might have been brake, can't remember...but it was at the back...and red) TD5 Defender 90
