just done my 90 td5 it had hd springs and terraferma(terrible) shocks on it just before i bought it don't know why do it if your not towing or carrying a ton of weight any way wanted a more comfortable ride than standed (wife got a bad back and would not go in it) so did some research and these are the springs to use for normal ride hight
for front use nrc2119 rated150lbs used on RR front/disco for rear use nrc8044 rated155/215lbs used onD110 front disco rear normal spring rates are 175 fronts 225 rears also used isolators anr2938 top and bottom on rears rbc100111 for front also a retaining ring for damper turret this will even the normal defender back down by about 8mm now for the ride excellent wife even likes the idea of touring Scotland god knows why i put up with it for two years got the springs etc from paddocks only around the corner from me .cost £70 for springs and about £25 for isolators ps i had to use new shock but went for good brand standed one ride is as i said brilliant |
