Small crack in wheel arch advice.
Hi all. Decided to put a crack in wheel arch driver side front while green laning. As pics show. Tiny as it is, you all reckon to...
A) leave it, I not too bothered how it looks, as it scratched anyways. But will crack grow?
B) use some sort of clever glue (please specify clever glue) to join?
C) proper repair myself or get a body paint place?
D) replace with ultimate massive mud type or equivalent arches?
E) buy new ones and paint?
F) suggest something magical?

Not bothered how it looks, and cheapest option and or most effective option shall be considered.
Cheers

Plastic weld from behind.

I have an arch with a crack in it I've taken off.

When I eventually get time I'll repair and re prime to sell.

Plastic zip ties are suitable to plastic weld.

However, make sure you are in good ventilation and do not breathe the fumes.

If you don't care what it looks like there are two options.

Take a small drill bit, slightly wider than the crack and drill a hole at the end of the crack - this will stop the crack from growing any further - unless you smash the vehicle into something hard again obviously.

another option is to drill holes either side of the crack and stitch it with cable ties - it will look ugly, but will be as strong as the original material.

I had the same thing happen. I fixed a fine piece of metal mesh with black CT1 adhesive and it's worked a treat. If you would like a piece of mesh, private message me and I'll send you some.

Thornton breakers, then paint.

Shouldn't need repainting just lightly flat the original paint, Chillin In The BackwoodsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

I have one on the side myself with a crack much less significant than the OP's.

But it isn't in flawless condition, have very got around to repairing. Maybe I'll give it a go soon. Chillin In The BackwoodsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
