Fuel pressure sensor.
Does anyone know if the 2.2 FPS is the same as the 2.4?

I've got a 2.2 That needs a pressure regulator, but can't get one on its own, you have to buy the rail too at £200!
Which seems a bit daft,

I've got a new 2.4 sensor, and wondered if I can use that, along with resetting the learned values?

I see on EBay you can get sensors that say they are compatable for 2.2/2.4?

Needs to be back on the road today Rolling Eyes

That was the ones I looked at,
They must all be the same?

I would have got one, but customer is a courier with a Transit,
So needs it on the road ASAP.

Crafty how Ford don't sell one separately,
Just seems a good way to shift fuel rails that never need replacing!!

Cheers for your reply Thumbs Up 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

It's like they tell you to replace the fuel pipes when ever you take the injectors out. Supposedly it's so they don't leak or contaminate the injectors with any theoretical dirt ingress. Rolling Eyes

Everyone is just after your money!

I said to the chap in parts it's all a big money making exercise,
He said Ford has just started combining lots of parts, so you buy the part you need, with everything you don't need attached to it!

Some of it also comes down to the reduction in skills and tools in the workshops of dealers.

Like a lot of wheel bearings now you have to buy a complete hub assembly. Often the part isn't actually that expensive, but it means in a dealership they don't need to buy and maintain a press or train the staff how to use it.
