Move from Elephant ASAP, they are a nightmare and will do anything they can to wriggle out of not paying, you may as well not have insurance when using them! Try Flux, not the greatest but always been good to me. Currently paying £600 p/a 25, 4 years ncb including one at fault accident. 10k p/a |

Something tells me you're being ripped off. I pay a total of less than £600 for a Defender and a Discovery Sport with A Plan. Granted I live in the sticks and not London and full NCD. Think you need to do some serious shopping around. Good luck Defender 90XS SW

Hello mustafasoleiman
A second... for LV (although I hate their Ad's) I'm with them by default as they acquired Frizzell Insurance, but they have proved good. You only ever know how good they are when used, three issues in 20 years with our two Land Rovers, two accidents (not our fault) and one attempted theft (stopped by Security, but damage done) and LV were good throughout. They also insured our then new 300tdi, parked on the Streets next to London Bridge, without mad premiums. Modification too appear not to phase them, with reasonable additions (or none at all). I'm not too far from A Plan insurance in Thatcham, and have friends with them...also worth a call for a quote from what I hear... Good Luck SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

With A Plan do make sure you call the Thatcham branch only 01635 874646 as they have the deal for Defender 2.
I ended up with Privilege at a very low rate and they have been good so far ( not claimed yet ) and the renewal actually went down this year . HR064 Hampshire and Berkshire 4x4 Response |

I am with KGM via a broker called Heritage who "specialise" in classics and off roading, so include modifications. I paid £238 including some mods. I am about to find out how good they are as my theft claim progresses.
My other cars are with Admiral, who put their premiums up each year. I go to confused.com get prices (Admiral are usually about the cheapest!) then I call and they price match...........themselves. I reduced my bill for five family cars from just over £1500 to just under £1100!! |

Just renewed with A-Plan no increase on last year, always had great service, but not made a claim though.
With A-Plan you must speak with the Thatcham office. They knocked spots off the premium I got from Flux and NFU for what appears like for like cover. You could just try money supermarket or one of them.
I've got my 2015 110xs and the wifes Audi A1 140 sport on a multicar with admiral for under £700 in south east London borders The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results. NFU cover my 110 DCPU for £287 with all modifications declared including a Stage 2 remap on an IP postcode. Whilst hardly an inner city location, Defender theft is sufficiently rife here for the police to pull me over for an ID check to compare with their records.
