United Kingdom 2001 Defender 90 Td5 SW Alveston Red
[For Sale] Range Rover 6x6 Fire tender
Hi all,
Apologies for being a bit vaqe, but I'll tell ya what I know so far,

Links aviation who are restoring a Lancaster at present, are selling their fire truck,
It was built by Carmichael, rumor has it it will come with most of the fire fighting equipment also,

That's all I know so far Rolling Eyes

I'm awaiting for year and pics etc, so will update when I can,

As this info is via a friend who volunteers there , possibly best to contact them directly,

Hopefully will be of interest to someone ?

Thanks all

Richard

If your mate wants to send me an e-mail, I'll pass the information on to Brooklands as I do quite a bit with them.

I believe that they already have a Carmichael fire tender but it needs a lot of work.

My work e-mail addy is Robert.alvarez [at] deboer.com

No promises, but just might be of interest...

France 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 CSW Alpine White
Carmichael TACR2 (tactical Air Crash Rescue mk2 if I remember correctly)
Built as 6x4, some converted after demob to 6x6 for civilian use
900 litres pre mix foam (very corrosive) in grp tank
mid mounted single pressure Godiva pump off pto
both rear axles should have an additional second coil spring inside the std rear coils
very few special parts on the chassis - brake master cylinder I think is a special
