So after ages of indecision, I have started to off load some cars because we just dont have a proper mix.
My 2006 supercharged FFRR has now gone to a private buyer and my wife's bloody awful X5 is being picked up on Friday and I am delighted! We will be left with my 110 and our run about 206. Don't laugh, its great for where I live and 2 litre TD does have some poke! My series 3 is just in pieces in the barn so I think we need a decent second car. Choices are Porsche Macan, Jaguar's new SUV which I think is based on the Velar or Discovery 5. I've had a Disco 3 which is putting me off going back to them although the 5 is meant to be completely new. The Macan is a good car but I am not sold on Porsche interior design these days with hundreds of switches and fighter jet style cabins. The Jag looks lovely but we had an XF a while ago and it didn't wear very well. I'm leaning towards the Porsche just now but need to have a test drive next week in Toulouse. |

The Jag F-pace is an excellent vehicle IF you get a good one.
There are lots of issues with the car and JLR have firmly got their head in the sand and not fixing the problems. Have a look on fpaceforums.co.uk and you will see the problems owners are having and the alarming number of rejections, some have even had to reject replacement vehicles

Scary reading on their forum but I'm sure percentage wise versus cars sold, its probably a normal ratio.
I have never rejected a car before but did have some remedial work to a Cayenne GTS before I picked it up. The F Pace is quite a pretty car but residuals will be awful I think. |
