Hirschmann Defender aerial
Guys, I've found the following place selling a Hirschmann flex aerial; that looks suspiciously like the Defender specific aerial but its half the price. What do you think?

The only thing different in the Nakatanenga kit is the base. If you use the basic Hirschmann kit you may need to create your own to suit the oversize hole in the Defender wing. The Nakatanenga base also results in the aerial being perpendicular to the wing - IIRC the Hirschmann base is for an angled installation.

Whilst £45 is a lot for 2 stainless washers and a stainless tube I eventually decided to get the Nakatanenga one from here:

and it works very well indeed. It comes with 2 washers though: one black & one silver. My silver one is spare... Whistle

the actual aerial is a standard Hirschman part, but it comes with a modified base for the Defender and a good quality earth lead.

If you have access to a lathe you could make the base yourself, if you have access to a lathe.
