Electric Lift Tub Cover
HI Guys,

well finally managed to get some more bits done on the defender, i have nearly finnished the rear tub cover now just the water seal and move some lights and its done.

I made it lift by electric rams the lid opens just below vertical there is internal light that come on when the lid is lifted.

i wired it so that it operates with the external switch when the vehicle is unlocked, this switch is disabled when the ignition is on and the doors are shut, the internal switch becomes active when the ignition is on.

i was trying to upload pictures to my gallery but ran out of space, so i put a short vid on you tube,

It doesn't look to be weather tight, are you going to attempt a waterproof seal?

TC, yes water seal to come, i dont beive you could make it totally waterproof after all its a defender, but i am going to fit a seal as soon as the weather gets warmer.
