Painting anodised aluminium?
Just wondering if any one has experience with this?

I was wanting to paint some bonnet hinges body coloured and wondered if the usual acid etch prime and then colour coat followed by lacquer would stand the test of time?

Thanks! -2015 Defender 90 XS Landmark-

I would use etch primer.

For a super smooth finish hi build on top of that dry sanded with 600grit.

Some people use an epoxy sealer on top of that too as a waterproofer.

I've always used Upol or Autotek, normally the latter with excellent results. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️
