I think Barbara might have a few words to say about that Wink

Again CAUTION will not click on that link. All sorts of scammers, conmen thieves out there.

Bad spelling was the first sign of something wrong

Unknown sender was second warning sign

Undisclosed recipients third sign.

Somehow I think they can close down my account! Thumbs Up

If you are really worried about scammers and con persons on the internet subscribe to a sandbox.

Sandboxing is an important security technique that isolates malicious or malfunctioning persons from damaging your business, it is a tightly controlled internet environment where users can be identified in a restricted environment where your data base remains safe, only giving just as many permissions as it needs set by you without giving any additional authorizations.

all business internet users should have a safety net installed, and I am sure you have one, sandboxing is just a an extra and in many instances is free.

I am not in a business myself but my university IT guys have set this up for me to make sure I am not plagued by people who wish to join my course, and believe me there are many, up to hundreds a day because it also comes with government bursaries and grants. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Hi Gilarion, thanks for the idea about sandbox.

Have no understanding what a sandbox or how it works. Barbara is more IT savvy then I am and works closely with our website provider.

Now I know a lot of emails land up in spam. Unfortunately sometimes 'good' emails land up in spam and some 'bad' emails evade the spam bin.

It is important to be aware of the 'bad' emails and know how to look out for them.

Bad spelling, unknown sender, undisclosed recipients are all signs of a 'bad' email

Edited to add

Know ex police service and one of his comments are that they target, the old, the less IT savvy, the bored, the lonely etc.

So if you know someone who would fit the above classification, please try and educate them in looking out for the 'bad guys'

Was it today that the government announced that they were going to provide phone number blockers to 'vunerable' people to only allow phone calls from known permitted numbers.

Education is important and reminding people about possible scam routes is also important.

Guy, you have a pm, am pretty sure I responded to your email.

Steve, first time I have seen your email is today. No idea what happen to the first time you sent it. Have left you a voice message. Yours is going to take a little bit of thinking about.

I admit sometimes I do need a poke to answer all the messages/pms/emails etc but I do my best to work my way through them!

Nidge we do not send out invoices until we have items in stock. IIRC should be ready sometime this week.

If we had peoples money and could not supply the goods straight away think how some people will comment then.

This way I might be accused of being a slack set up, but I can not be accused of being a slack setup whilst holding onto other peoples money!

Thank you Brendan thats good to know, lots of other companies request money before they will even order the product from their suppliers !

My comment was intended to be a bit of light hearted banter on the back of the other posts, Apologies if it came across differently.

Nidge.

Nidge I am fully aware I need a poke at times Razz so no offence taken!

However you would probably be surprised how people react to any perceived delay in response.

Once got a phone call at 10 am, a guy complaining I had not responded to his email. He had sent it at 7 pm the previous evening! Rolling Eyes
