Good choice on landy colour
As to the cargo barrier and A frame. If the quote of £300 is to supply and fit the cargo guard, get it as its a bargain, it is a bitch to fit. It took me about 2-3 hours as nothing is square in a Landy I have the A bar(missus bought me it as a present ) and have 2 x spot lights to fit to it. If you get it, fit it yourself as it is a doddle to do, and you will save yourself a £100. And while you are at it get the replacement stainless bolts for the bumper, as you have everything off anyway. |

Not to sure about the prices buri had the cargo barrier fitted to my USW by the dealer for 2 reasons 1. They are a to fit so I thought I'd give them the pleaser of that 2. I don't think anyone else currently makes an aftermarket cargo barrier for the puma. Just make sure that they remove all the swarf left over from drilling the holes for the barrier
As for the A-bar, with the new laws the one land rover supply meets all the legal requirement and you won't have any problems with the law/insurance company. (I know there are loop holes for using metal bull bars). Russell Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

No drilling required Russ, that's left over swarf from the manufacture of the Landy

The cargo guard is indeed a complete pig to fit in a Puma. I bought one of the first ones for my 07 and spent hours trying to get it to fit properly, including reshaping the upper brackets around the alpine lights.
I swore blind I'd get the dealer to do it if I had my time over again. I assume they're no better now then? Dealer add ons do seem dear though - I've just had palpitations from a quote for tow bar electrics John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

Just fitted one of the soft A-bars (pattern part but identical to the LR one, albeit without the 'Defender' text) to my 110.
Cost: £180 (OK, I got lucky on eBay, but they're about £300 otherwise). Took me 1.5 hours to fit, mainly to do with fiddlyness of fitting spots to it (and that was with the LR spots!). IF it hadn't been for them, it would probably have been more like half an hour. Probably one of the easiest aftermarket addons to fit. All you need is a socket set, and a drill with 3mm bit. 2010 110 XS USW (the slow one) 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ (the fast one) 2005 Ducati ST3 1954 Sunbeam S8 |

Sorry but had to mention that during a couple of modifications (speaker replacement and running a cable for Scangauge behind the headlining) it was amazing how much swarf had been left behind! Do they not take an element of pride in their workmanship or clean up after themselves? Stupid question I know the answer is evident I suppose! The OEM A bar if fitted I believe within a certain time of vehicle purchase by the dealer then falls under warranty! Sure someone will come up with the details! I have a soft A bar £500 fitted! Expensive I know but great looking bit of kit, have spots hung on it too! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! I can't fathom why anyone would want a soft A bar. What am I missing?

To keep on the right side of legality perhaps??? To mount spotlights to??? For looks??? Because they can??? To consider a pedestrian impact increasing their chance of survival??? To stop flies in the Summer impacting on a small portion of the vehicle??? Bling??? Because a 'soft one' is better than none at all??? Good point well presented but have you tried using the search facility whilst travelling on the Wyle by pass at over 60mph on a skateboard in heavy traffic? Have binned the unicycle and am trying an alternative means of vehicular transportation! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
