Mine does this every now and then, i find if you pull the cap up while turning, eventualy it gives in!
I will probaly find myself stuck on a forecourt one day not being able to fill it up? Must get a new one too.... 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Crisis averted for today at least! I managed to to unscrew the filler cap after pulling up at an angle while turning. The "at an angle" bit is important, it's as if I was trying to pry the cap off -- that got the internals to latch -- and allowed me to unscrew the cap.
When putting it back, one click is fine; two clicks and it's back to being stuck... Hopefully I can pry it off again when the new cap arrives in the post in a couple of days! |

If you drill then remove the filler pipe from underneath first, stops any debris entering the tank.
