Fan cowling observation (location / security / fitting)
To be more exact the lower fan cowling and what I dealt with earlier. Having a poke round earlier making sure everything was in order I noticed a few things.

Firstly the lower radiator hose wasn't clipped into the 'C' clip on the bottom of the cowl which is odd as A) I have never undone it and B) no work has been done in that area. Might be worth a check on yours as it has possibly been like this since new and I haven't noticed it.

Other observations is that I cannot see any mounting for the lower cowl it just seems to be free in the wind, and with further investigation it just buts up against the front cross member and the sides of the radiator. My lower cowl has a slight kink overall and this means on the N/S midpoint it is touching the radiator and you can see the rub mark.

So I have some tape backed foam strips and a small length now stuck to the front cross member stops the cowl rubbing the paint off (which it has started to do) and project it enough to stop it rubbing the rad itself

Might be worth a check to you all as it is mad that there isn't any mounting for the lower cowl at the bottom, and it can just fret and vibrate about
