United Kingdom 2010 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Santorini Black
To be fair the LR dealer are probably just going by the part number, which may well be correct, but as Martin pointed out it could be in the wrong box.

I would go back to the dealer with the part numbers i've quoted, they should then be able to see the mistake and take it from there. If they've been sent the wrong one they can do a claim for it with LR and if they've ordered the Aus one by mistake then then should be able to see that too.

Fitter's job is to fit the part from the box on the car as per orders. Not to question what it is. Particularly the case if the bodyshop is not LR specialised.

A good few years ago I had a learner driver give my defender a glancing blow in a Lay By and he damaged an eye brow spat as they were called in those days, now they are called a wheel arch, (wrongly).
A main agent replaced it under insurance with a glossy new one, fine, except all the other three eye brow spats were mat. The trouble I had getting the main agent to replace the damaged with one with the correct one was massive.
Well sir, (as the manager said) this is the correct part number, even though it did not match the other three.

Main agents and parts numbers belong in another universe sometimes. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
