[Wanted] TDI Rev Counter
I'm after a rev counter for my '89 Tdi, however the genuine ones are over £300! Shocked

It is this one here (Pt # - AMR5724): http://www.paddockspares.com/amr5724-tachometer.html

If anyone has an old second hand one knocking around that they no longer want I'd be extremely grateful if you could let me know.

Many thanks, Matt. Matt.

May I suggest a 52mm VDO rev counter, which will cost far less money for pretty much the same thing. The LR version is made by VDO.

Would this rev counter work on my 300tdi:

My recently replaced alternator looks like this:

And currently the connection marked "W" is redundant. TBH the eBay gauge doesn't look much different to the £300+ genuine one, so if it'll do the job I'd be very happy. Matt.

Yes, if you have a W terminal. I'm not familiar with the brand however and for not a lot of money more you can get a quality VDO item.
