When i bought my 110 there were a few extra holes drilled in the rear panel above the back door, near the washer jet. The previous owner had a reversing camera installed which they removed before sale and plugged the holes with silicone and undersize grommets. It looked a bit of a mess so I got some better fitting grommets and with the car being black it didn't look too bad but it was still bugging me a bit.
So to cover up two of the three holes I bought a Labcraft LED light off Mud UK that was in the sale and installed it over the holes. The light came grey so I repainted it black to match the car, and fitted Carling type switch on the left side speaker panel inside the door. Power comes from the unused permanent live behind the right hand speaker in the boot. Am very pleased with the result even though one of the holes is still visible, it looks a lot better. The light itself is perfect for camping or just loading/unloading in the dark. Have exactly the same - and one on each side as well.
Fantastic for camping or otherwise. Like your installation. |
