Well we at 4x4 Overlander have been busy evaluating a new range of roof tents and awnings including rooms.

We have literally just got back from Europe where we watched the roof tents being made.

Full details will follow in the next few weeks. Prices will depend on exchange rate so will be announced later. Stock will be with us soon..

No compromises on the materials being used and I learnt a lot about different materials used by different suppliers.

The awnings will come in a range of sizes including 1.4, 2, 2.5 and 3 metre widths. The 3m one is good for a 110 with it 2.8 long roof.

Other developments are in the pipeline. Whistle

My RV5 & extras is available, not gotten around to advertising properly yet.

Oztent RV5
Solar Fly
Peaked side panels
Deluxe Front
Solid Floorsaver.

RV5 Tag-a-long
Tag-a-long Solar Fly

Side Awning (adapted with fitted NATO flue jack for stove)
Custom fire room'panels x3 to create an add on room for stove under the side awning.

Oztent accessory bag.

Caravan connector.

Foxwing connector.

2" tear in 'front awning' repaired with professional rip stop tape (approx 4" in from corner. £1850 Collected or via courier network.
Considering there's an RV4 with no tag a long or extra side room up for £1450, mine seems like a bargain.

Photo below taken during test fit of custom room hence it being a tad baggy. Guy lines to sides since attached.

Vote for Oztent from me too, picture below is of my old Landy but kept oztent (RV1) when I sold it and fully intend using in the same way with my next 110.

Biggest problem with oztents is their size and weight

I have the RV4 and can't fault it. We have the king goanna stretch beds. We have 2 of those and 2 dogs. Lots of rom but as always the wife wants more. So we have just purchased the tag along to go with it.
I used to just strap it to the roofrack, but then decided that wasn't right so I purchased a basket to keep it all in. But then that left lots of smaller bags to contend with, sides, front, fly sheet, floorsaver etc. So we purchased another main bag for the RV4. All these smaller bags fit in that. And the 2 big bags fir inside the basket. But the tag along doesn't fit inside the bag. So we'll have to find a way of transporting that safely now.
Will get some pics the next time I'm camping with it 110 D250 SE HT

I bought an Ozpod box that takes the tent, all of the minor bags and a Tag a Long but I don't think they're available anymore. As an alternative though, I'd consider a large roof box or ski box. Being able to throw the tent in without worrying about faffing around with straps and locks is a real bonus.
