Does yours not come with a sump plug as standard?
Surely its better using the drain plug to check whats in the bottom of the sump, that shouldn't be?

For putting it into the gearbox. The draining part is easy, it's the refilling that is a little awkward. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

When I change the oil in the gearbox I push a pipe into the filler , thread it above the chassis ,up to about door level then squeeze oil out of the bottles straight into the gearbox.
Any left in the pipe is minimal, takes about 10minutes to do Thumbs Up

I usually remove the cubbybox, then the inspection plate and gravity fill through the opening but I'm going to give this pump a go, if I'm in time to get one. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I have a hand pump and with the small original suction hose It hardly pumps the EP90. I have put a bigger suction hose on and that works but not as good as MTF with the original small hose. And the hoses in the picture are not a big diameter. Shocked Roel

That looks a great idea. I used a garden sprayer which worked well. This device looks even easier! Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

If it works great.....if not it'll hardly break the bank. If I manage to get one I'll give it a trial run and let you know how it works out. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
