Series 2a 88 petrol 2.25 station wagon 1965
I’m looking at selling The series 2a that I’ve been rebuilding over the last year and a half. I’ve tried to do a sympathetic rebuild to keep as much charm and originality on the series. It’s had a body off chassis refurbish with all rot cut out and new rear crossmember. The bulkhead has had new footwells and any rust cut out and the was soda blasted and painted. I’ve uploaded the pictures of the project in various stages so you can see whats been under taken. MOT is until 03/11/17 These are just some of the new bits fitted from memory. I have a stack of receipts listing all the other parts I’ve fitted Autosparks loom Converted to alternator New 4 Avon ranger tyres and tubes Exmoor trim elephant hide front seats New brake lines and cylinders reconditioned series 2 non sync gearbox full stainless steel exhaust and S/S exhaust clamps Series 3 safari rear window channels There are a few bits that need finishing that I was going to tackle when in the spring/summer Fit new door seals these I’ve already purchased The front door frame do have some holes so could do with replacement Smiths round heater has yet to be installed as it could do with repainting but the matrix didn’t leak when tested It currently has a series 3 radiator fitted as the original has a hole and needs to be re-cored. Unfortunately I need something more practical for work duties, So I’ve bought a defender and I need to let one of my other cars go to free up some space. Looking for £9500 I’m located in Aylesbury Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Rebuild Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Thanks guys.
I took it out for a drive the other day and it really is fun. Was thinking I might keep it and use it over the summer. She starts on the button and sings along at 50mph. There are lots of plus points to ownership like £70 insurance for a year. No road tax. |

Restored to the right level and the important bits like the bulkhead all done. I had looked at this on the S2 forum and was very tempted but I have a S1 that does not get enough use so cant justify another sitting in the garage.
GLWTS, it looks a nice vehicle. |
