Id buy on condition, no matter the engine if it was me. Nothing wrong with a v8 in a soft top. Might have concerns with the brakes being up to job, but you control the throttle etc

Good call!
As long as it's been fitted well, they are a lovely combo I'm just starting to drop one in a series 3 here.... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50793.html They are well suited to a series, I wouldn't go much more than the 3.9 though due to the halfshaft strength. Series Gear boxes will happily stand the power of the V8 as long as you don't abuse them (too much) Well maintained/set up brakes will be a must, Disc convertions are good but very expensive. I had a couple of V8 series motors in the past and all were great fun! Any pictures?? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |
