Hi mark
Hard to explain exactly but the twisted one (I believe is actually the mobile centre one) you push the stalk up or down to increase a few mph Like this one in my Audi... currently sat in the Audi Click image to enlarge The tmd is just a fixed stalk on or off.. |

Oh ok, I see - thank you.
Looking at the picture you have posted it looks like it has an "acc" button (accelerate I assume?) But effectively it just switches on or off without much adjustability like an OEM system. I think that's ok for what I will use it for. let me have a think about it. My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

The stalk is fixed so to say... whereas the other pivots when you push it up / down to adjust speed..
I've contacted tmd for a explanation as they supplied me something I didn't want.. and is different from what there website is advertising |

I don't think there is anything missing with the stalk TMD sent you, all functions seem there. The stalk is fixed as you say, but it has three buttons you can press to do everything you need.
A button on the right side to turn on/off A button on the bottom to press for setting initial cruising speed. While the cruise control works, if you press the bottom button once or more again (the coasting function) the cruising speed will go down for each push by a set amount of 1kph or 1mph. Then pushing the top button is for accelerating when the cruise is working, or for resume to the last set speed when the system is on, but cruising was deactivated by touching the brake pedal or change gear, etc. Just the normal cruise control logic I think. Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
