haha thanks! I can't take the credit, it was my very creative better half's idea It works very well actually, I use it all the time. With tinted rear windows you have to have your face against the glass to even realise it is a cover - at which point my alarm gives off a loud warning chirp and pants are normally soiled My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

Defender picked up and what a brilliant job they have done.
They even painted my new front bumper and fitted my new Mud flap brackets as mine were rusty! Plus a couple of other little bits they noted. Fantastic. I celebrated by going straight to my local Indy to book in for a few bits of work which need doing, including a leaky breather when the fuel is filled to the brim, service and MOt. Once Home i finished off my Ultraguage install, well chuffed ! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

It doesn't involve removing any standard clocks/dials/displays, just utilises a blank gap in the dash because I think its the same dash as used in the Freelanders where that space did have a display. Matt.

I’m very tempted by an Ultraguage now. Looks great!
I might have missed it in an earlier post but where did you source it? Thanks, Nick |

There's a thread here which has links for parts needed. Also shows how to fit a check temp in the space on the left.

Hi Nick,
I think they are only available from the states direct - there is no uk retailer as far as I am aware. http://ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/ultragauge_wired.htm My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

Spent a bit of time on the truck on Saturday,
I fitted a new VCV, pig of a job. First impressions seem to be a lot smoother but still have an intermittent stutter / burp at around 2k revs on light throttle. Hoping to get a re-learn done ASAP to see if that helps. I then swapped bumpers, removed my old one and fitted new complete with Ring LED DRLs. Nicely painted by the same workshop who carried out the accident repairs. I also fitted some bumper end caps this time, and some slightly different plates (temporary use) Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |
